Returned from Strokers Billiards in London Ontario for the Canadian 10 Ball Championships.

I struggled for the first 3-4 rounds and did not play well. Won my first match lost my next to Nathan Collver on the hill. Went in the win my next 6 matches only lose to 2 time U14 Canadian Champ Antonio Ayala.

Congrats to Denzel De Castro on winning his first Canadian Championship! He is a strong competitor playing really hot lately and deserve the title!

Also Antonio Ayala for his second place finish. A definite favorite as he was reigning 2 time Canadian champ.

Tear of happiness and joy were flowing from all over the pool hall throughout the day. When you have emotion, it really means you care! Caring makes you work harder!

Thanks to Rhonda for hosting this event at Strokers London. Opening up your pool hall and supporting the juniors is greatly appreciated. Some found revenue is greatly welcome with all the participants and families while also losing some due to all the table later being used.

Next stop:

Sioux City Nebraska for the VNEA international Championships. This is one of our closest locations that we attended this year being an 8 hour drive away.

I just got back from Virginia JIC tournament and Jeremy Jones boot camp 2.0. I played in 2 event 20U 7/8 position and 14U 3rd.

Congratulations to Landon Hollingsworth for 1st place finish, Hayden Ernst 2nd, Gage Smith 3rd. All strong competitors and fought hard. I lost to the 2nd and 3rd place finishers.

Also congratulations to Gavin Ray Mathew for his 1st place finish and D’Angelo Spain “Jawz” for his second place finish. I was able to beat Jawz the first round to push him the the B side but he came out strong on Sunday to get me the second time.

Thanks to Jeremy Jones for taking his time out of his very busy schedule to give a 2 day training session to the juniors. Hanna and Ortiz setting up this JIC event and training.

The BAK Room Billiards Studio for hosting including all 3 owners. This classy pool room with great equipment.

Also to all the parents that brought their kids to compete! Without them the best juniors would not be able play compete.

64 players in the Junior Tournament filled with talent.

I missed out on entering more events as they were all full. I was lucky to get into this one as I missed last year.

It’s been a while since I have been able to go to a tournament at home in Winnipeg at Crazy 8 Billiards & Lounge

I played in a 10 ball A side/9 ball B side on Sunday and finished 2nd out of 30 people. Won my first round a lost my second round to Carey Hafner which sent me to th B side. Fought my way back playing many rounds to meet up with (Henry) Henderson Salcedo. He wanted to split the pot but I am always in to play a better players than me.

Not so lucky for me as he beat me 9-0 in the race. Always learning and working hard. He played lots of safeties and played them well!

2025 inaugural Hanna Cup Global Boot Camp in Lorton Virginia.

I had the honor of attending the first Hanna Cup Boot Camp featuring Jeremy Jones as the coach. This was a 2 day event with instruction and real time practice. I learned so much that I will put to use in my future games.

Each session was around 3 hours with 3 groups. I listened in on each other the other groups and continued to practice the drills all over again. Practice is great but perseverance takes you to the next level.

We had 17 juniors in the boot camp for these 2 days with a 64 player tournament at BAK room Billiards This was a private club with about 14 - 9 foot Rasson tables. This club had well maintained table which was great to play on.

My dad learned from my lessons also.
