Point of View International Retreat and Research Center Available for event rentals! Point of View (POV) is a space dedicated to peacebuilding practice, teaching and research.

In a beautiful and tranquil setting less than 30 miles from Washington, DC, Point of View is an international retreat and research center dedicated to peacebuilding practice, teaching and learning. As part of the School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution (S-CAR) at George Mason University, POV works with faculty, students and partners to provide space and support for groups in conflict to addres

s differences, engage in dialogue and learn together. On 120 acres of pristine wooded land overlooking Belmont Bay and bordered by protected wetlands, its secluded and tranquil setting provides a respite and ideal location for reflective thinking, productive interactions, transformative conversations and reconciliation. Yet its location less than 30 miles from Washington, DC also offers an opportunity to benefit from the region’s vast informational resources and to serve its civic and business associations, federal agencies, universities and the international community. POV offers conflict resolution training, facilitation services and other opportunities for programming and partnership—as well as space to reserve for your own events. Its state-of-the-art facilities and breathtaking views make a group meeting, retreat, conference, workshop, or a special event truly memorable!
