Carey’s Gathering Place would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to the NCNW Lorain County Section for their generous donation of coats and shoes for the children in our community! 🧥👟💜
Because of partnerships like this, our monthly pantry can be about more than providing food—it can be about helping families meet everyday needs and reminding our neighbors that their community cares.

💜 WHAT AN AMAZING BACK TO SCHOOL PANTRY DAY! 💜

Our hearts are truly full! We are incredibly grateful for another successful pantry day at The Careys Gathering Place.

Together, we were able to serve 279 individuals in our community — including 104 children, 138 adults, and 37 seniors! Even more exciting, 44 families were new to our agency. 🥰

None of this would be possible without the generosity, teamwork, and compassion of the wonderful organizations and individuals who continue to support our mission.

🙏 THANK YOU to all of our community partners and donors who help keep our pantry stocked and make it possible for us to continue serving families in need.

A very special thank you to our family, the Urban League, Cambridge Toxicology, NCNW and staff for showing up and giving your time through volunteer service.Your helping hands, positive energy, and willingness to serve alongside us made such a difference. We sincerely appreciate you! 💜

To every volunteer, donor, partner, and community member who helped make this day possible: THANK YOU. What may seem like a few hours of your time or a simple donation can mean groceries on the table, relief for a parent, and reassurance for a senior or family going through a difficult season.

❤️🙏🏽 OUR COMMUNITY SHOWS UP!
The Careys Gathering Place is getting ready for our Food Pantry & Back-to-School Giveaway on August 20, 2026, and we are so grateful for everyone who is helping us make this day special for families in our community.

🎒 There is still time to GIVE! We are continuing to accept donations of:

- Backpacks & book bags
- School supplies
- Shoes for children and adults
- Other items that can help our families prepare for the school year

🙌 There is also still time to VOLUNTEER! Whether you would like to help us organize donations, pack supplies, set up, distribute items, or simply lend an extra set of helping hands, we would love to have you!

We are incredibly thankful for the Lorain County Urban League and their generous contribution of school supplies to support our Back-to-School Giveaway.
