As we celebrate Juneteenth, a day that symbolizes freedom, resilience, hope, and the strength of community, we are especially grateful for the love and support that continues to surround The Careys Gathering Place.
Our Community Pantry yesterday was an incredible success, and it would not have been possible without the many helping hands that came together to serve our neighbors. We extend our heartfelt thanks to every volunteer who gave their time, every donor who shared their resources, every organization that partnered with us, and every community member who showed up to support the mission.
Because of your generosity, families were able to receive food, household essentials, encouragement, and hope. In a time when many are facing challenges and uncertainty, your kindness reminded us that we are stronger when we stand together.
Juneteenth teaches us the importance of lifting one another up, breaking down barriers, and creating opportunities for everyone to thrive. Yesterday's pantry distribution was a beautiful reflection of those values in action.
To our volunteers, supporters, partners, and the families we serve: thank you for trusting us, believing in our mission, and helping us make a difference in our community.
