While growing up in a music loving environment he bonded with the bass hitting sounds of hip hop, funk, gospel, pop and the soulful sounds of R&B. Even while working towards completing high school and preparing to enter college the draw toward his musical passion was irresistible. His addiction to the studio produced a serious and mature DJ. Influenced by DJs and sounds of all genres - DJ Clue, A-Trak, DJ Afrika Bambaataa, DJ Drama, Fat Man Scoop, Dr. Dre and DJ Z-Trip, DJ D*GRinD began skill building on his first controller, equalizer and CDJ, hosting extensive practice sessions with friends, at family events, favored hang outs, local colleges and house parties. In one year’s time he made acute upgrades to his performance as well as his equipment, graduating to Pro Tools and the Serato. DJ D*GRinD sets himself apart from the pack with his drive for quality music education, and the development of an in-depth technique in the art of presenting as a quality DJ. With his aggressive style hosting and behind the decks he continues to stay motivated. Earning himself a nomination for "BEST NEW DJ " at the 2013 Ohio HipHop Awards. With his heart and hand caressing the track in front of him, he seized an opportunity to spin on the West Coast (Mesa/Phoenix, AZ), and has released multiple collabs and mix tapes with artists throughout the nation, as well as those in his hometown area of Cleveland, OH.
