Our first stop on our journey through Loomis, Newcastle, and Penryn β€” previewing the studios of the Placer Artists Tour β€” is at Location 20 in Loomis. Here, five incredible artists share one studio space, each bringing their own artistic vision and medium to life.

Celeste Budd works in mosaics, incorporating stained glass, beads, gems, and recycled materials to craft vibrant pieces meant to evoke joy, reflection, and connection.

Kaz Huette designs bold, lightweight jewelry from plant-based materials. Her work balances clean architectural lines with organic shapes inspired by nature and her travels, creating wearable, colorful art.

Kimber Chin creates wearable art through the ancient, hands-on process of wet felting β€” β€œpainting with wool like painting with clouds.” Her scarves and textiles blend softness and strength, carrying decades of experience and creative devotion.

Sue Bordelon transforms found materials into mixed media, digital imaging, printmaking, and functional art. Her work navigates cycles of change in nature and society, inviting viewers to pause, contemplate, and unlock hope in uncertain times.

Jeffrey Bordelon captures the world through intimate photography β€œsmallscapes,” exploring nature from oceans to forests. His work encourages presence and perception, reflecting a lifelong engagement with art and Zen-inspired mindfulness.
