We’ve shared Part 1 of our story with Orlando Voyager: why OptiView closed our Longwood, FL location.

In our experience, we faced abusive promoter behavior and a landlord who leveraged permitting and local officials against our art museum before we even opened. We allege that pre-existing, unpermitted issues at 855 N US Hwy 17-92, Longwood, FL (Marqui Longwood LLC) were pushed onto us hurting our team and the artists we supported.

Part 2 is coming. We’ll continue calling out the conduct we experienced and those by name, and push for transparency and accountability in permitting and licensing so other small businesses aren’t blocked from building something positive.

For our community: thank you. OptiView won’t be reopening in Florida, but we’ve found new opportunities in other states and will keep championing artists and immersive experiences.
