Meet Rae Jones! Although if you’ve been to greenside beverage company Ki Mexico ETX you probably already know and love her.

“I’m a Chickasaw Nation Resident who grew up in small town East Texas. I take inspiration from native art and culture, loving to keep my colors bright and eye catching. I want my art to cultivate the creativity we have in all of us.

Completely self taught, my distinct swirl patterns come from the Chickasaws belief that they represent the wind and the continuous, never-ending journey of a person’s life.

I’ll pick up any medium you can put in front of me, loving to mix acrylic and different tools to add more texture and story. If i’m not creating you can often find me exploring and traveling, finding inspiration in the smallest things around us.”

Come meet Rae tonight at the opening of PAPEREVOLUTION from 4-8pm at Thousand Cranes Gallery 💫

Today is the opening of PAPEREVOLUTION and I’m beyond stoked to introduce you to the man behind this curated exhibit, Joshua Allen Prekker. Joshua is a multidisciplinary artist, tattooer, curator, and collector based in Longview, Texas. With nearly two decades of experience in tattooing, his creative practice has expanded beyond the studio into exhibition curation, printmaking, and the preservation and study of psychedelic and countercultural art.

His recent work has developed a particular focus on blotter art and its visual history, creating original editions while building connections between contemporary artists, collectors, printers, and the figures who helped shape the medium.

His work has been collected and shared internationally, and his exhibitions bring historic material into conversation with contemporary art in an effort to document, preserve, and introduce this often-overlooked visual culture to new audiences.

Joshua and I, and the artists who have worked hard to bring their creations to life, welcome you tonight from 4-8pm at Thousand Cranes Gallery for the opening of PAPEREVOLUTION

Meet John Milan!

John embodies the “More is More” philosophy, standing as the antithesis of minimalism. This approach reflects his belief in seeing beauty in everything and celebrating all details.

John’s art is a celebration of maximalism, characterized by its bold, playful style and intricate details. He offers viewers a world rich in detail and complexity, hidden treasures to be discovered, creating an immersive and engaging experience. His art movement is not just about adding more but about finding joy in the abundance, celebrating every element, and rejecting favoritism. This vibrant, joyful approach makes John’s work unique and deeply resonant with his audience.

In a world where minimalism often reigns, John’s maximalist approach stands out. He believes that more is not just more; it is a richer, more colorful, and more meaningful way to experience art and life. “I offer you the world and all the details in it,” says John. His works are a testament to the beauty of maximalism, inviting viewers into a world where every detail matters and every element has its place.

We are so proud to represent John’s work, now available at Thousand Cranes Gallery 🫶
