We're entering breast cancer awareness month. Tough Enough to Wear Pink is a nationally recognized grassroots campaign in the western and pro rodeo industry dedicated to raising breast cancer awareness and funds for patient support.

We love sharing photos from past rodeos -- do you have pictures of you + your crew in pink? Share them below!

Did you know that Rodeos in the U.S. grew primarily out of the great Southwestern cattle drives back in the 1800s? The men who gathered the cattle and herded them north became known as cowboys, and the skills they needed became core rodeo events.

In Washington, one of the earliest recorded competitions that included events associated with rodeo was May 6, 1890, when Ritzville residents rode out to the O. S. Edwards ranch on Cow Creek to celebrate the annual stock roundup.
