made the hike with me the other night to create this image that I've wanted to make for a few years. As we crested the top of the hike and saw the edge of the cliff perfectly silhouetted by the milky way I got so excited. All possible doubts were completely gone that instant. The sky was almost as clear as I've seen it all season. This image is a single photo, not a composite of multiple exposures. If you'd like to see the composite version check out his profile. Here's another image from my trip to Red Feather Lakes a few nights ago. The lake was full of green growth so when I tried to light the rocks it gave everything a green tint to it. I was out there quite a while and waving a flashlight all over the place, I wonder what the herd of elk thought as they watched me the whole time 🤣
