Speakeasy Open Mic happens tonight!! Sign up is at 7PM!

Given the last week's events, I'd like to state explicitly that the open mic goes from 8PM to midnight. If you're last on the sign up list, and no one signs up after you, we don't shorten everyone's else's set to "get you onstage at 10:30."

We keep the entertainment going until 12AM every Tuesday, if possible. This means if four people sign up, we're gonna give those performers and average of an hour a piece to keep everyone entertained until 12AM. If eight artists show up, it's a half-hour a piece, average. I don't control who shows up, when they sign up, or even how long someone's set is. I average it out so we can make it to midnight. That's it.

However, you do have options:

- You could ask to switch with someone else on the list to go on earlier.

- You could show up to sign up earlier, and get your pick of the spots.

- You could interrupt another performer's set while they're on stage, and yell about how unfair it is that they played so long, grab your guitar, and throw a temper tantrum as you exit into a hailstorm. (I highly recommend this last one, as it adds a theatrical element to the evening, and it counts as your final performance at the Speakeasy.)
