AlterWork Studios Also offering workshops and classes. AlterWork Studios was founded by Tina Stipanovic as an open access art and community center.

A shared, multidisciplinary, artists workspace providing tools and facilities for ceramics, woodworking, painting, textile art and sewing, printmaking, photo darkroom, artist residency and gallery space. Our mission is to be a major resource for contemporary artists, that helps them create new artwork and advance their careers by offering them access to affordable workspace, tools, classes, workshops and public exposure. Tina Stipanovic is an artist with an MFA from Parsons School of Design in NYC. Prior to opening AlterWork Studios, she spent 12 years building a community as the owner of RaR Bar, a bar and DIY art space in LIC. She is also an independent curator and the creator of the Backlot Art Festival for the Kaufman Art District and AlterWork Studio hosted Maker’s Bazaar as well as numerous other events and exhibitions.
