For this project, Willie Ruiz has brought together every aspect of his musical experience and talent. He is not only the singer, but also the songwriter, arranger, producer, recording engineer, and mixing and mastering engineer.
“BAILA JAPÓN” is a true showcase of Willie’s artistic vision, creativity, and technical expertise, reflecting his years of experience playing, learning, producing, and educating others through Latin music.
As a recognized figure in the New York City Latin music scene, Willie sees “BAILA JAPÓN” as more than a song. It is also his way of contributing to his own culture and honoring the traditions that have shaped him as a musician.
At the same time, Willie wants this project to be an example for his students and for anyone who wants to learn. By creating a song from beginning to end — from songwriting and arranging to singing, recording, production, mixing, and mastering — he hopes to show what is possible to learn and create when you understand the many different aspects of Latin music.
Keeping these traditions alive, passing them on to future generations, and continuing to create new music are an important part of Willie’s artistic and educational journey.

“BAILA JAPÓN” es una canción dedicada a los japoneses que aman la música Salsa y que bailan con pasión y elegancia, incluso estando al otro lado del planeta.
Para este proyecto, Willie Ruiz ha reunido todos los aspectos de su experiencia y talento musical. No solo es el cantante, sino también el compositor, arreglista, productor, ingeniero de grabación y responsable de la mezcla y masterización.
“BAILA JAPÓN” es una verdadera muestra de la visión artística, creatividad y conocimiento técnico de Willie, reflejando sus años de experiencia tocando, aprendiendo, produciendo y enseñando a otros a través de la música latina.
Como una figura reconocida de la escena de la música latina en Nueva York, Willie considera que “BAILA JAPÓN” es mucho más que una canción. Es también su manera de contribuir a su propia cultura y honrar las tradiciones que lo han formado como músico.

まもなく、Willie Ruizの新しいサルサ・シングル「BAILA JAPÓN」がリリースされます。
この曲は、遠く離れた日本でサルサを愛し、情熱を持って踊っている日本の皆さんに捧げる一曲です。
今回の「BAILA JAPÓN」では、Willieがこれまで培ってきた音楽の経験と才能を、すべてこの一曲に注ぎ込んでいます。
歌手としてだけでなく、作詞・作曲、アレンジ、プロデュース、レコーディング、ミックス、マスタリングまで、楽曲制作のすべてを自ら手掛けました。
長年、ニューヨークのラテン音楽シーンで活動してきたWillieにとって、「BAILA JAPÓN」は単なる新曲のリリースのみならず、自分が受け継いできたラテン音楽の文化に貢献し、これまで自分を育ててくれた音楽の伝統を大切にしながら、次の世代へつないでいきたい。そんな思いも、この曲には込められています。
そして、今回この曲を発表するもう一つの目的は、これからラテン音楽を学びたい人たちに、実際の作品を通して、音楽制作のさまざまな工程を知ってもらうことです。
「BAILA JAPÓN」では、作詞・作曲、アレンジ、歌、レコーディング、プロデュース、ミックス、マスタリングまで、一曲が完成するまでのすべての工程をWillie自身が手掛けています。
その一つひとつの工程で培ってきた知識や技術、そして長年の経験から得たノウハウを、これからラテン音楽を学びたい人たちにも伝え、学んでもらえる機会を提供していきたいと考えています。
一人の音楽家が、アイデアを一つの完成した作品へと形にしていく。その過程そのものを学んでもらうことも、Willieがこの作品を通して伝えたいことの一つです。
Willieは、自分が持つ知識や経験を次の世代に伝え、ラテン音楽の魅力だけでなく、その背景にある文化や伝統も一緒に受け継いでいきたいと考えています。
