SPECIAL EVENT! Chinese Theatre Works x The Museum of Chinese in America present Little Red Riding Hood: The Chinese Opera as a part of Carnegie Hall’s United in Sound: America at 250 festival!

Little Red Riding Hood: The Chinese Opera retells in English (dialogue) and Chinese (song) the timeless fable and transforms it into a cross-cultural journey for audiences of all ages. Experience the full range of traditional Chinese theatre technique and aesthetics including breathtaking stage acrobatics and martial arts, music, dance, song, pantomime, stylized face painting and elaborate hand-sewn silk costumes!

Conceived and directed by CTW’s very own Kuang-Yu Fong, Little Red draws its inspiration from classical masterpieces, taking well-known scenes from the traditional Chinese opera repertoire and seamlessly integrating them into the story with dashes of American humor that make it immediately accessible to audiences of all ages.

Don’t miss your chance to see this truly unique performance! Tickets are on sale now!

📅 Saturday, July 25, 2026 @ 3:00 - 4:30pm

Almost done with the the move of CTW's office at SMP building in Queens, from room 105 (left) to room 109 (right). The new space has almost twice the space, so it will give us a an open workspace that's much larger than our former space.

While it's only 2 doors down the hallway, the move has still been an awful lot of shlepping. Our maser packer, Charlie Santos will oversee the de-clutterization of the new space.
