Katampe Embroidered Mayan Bags, Sterling Silver .925 Jewelery Unique Styles and more As a teenager, I emigrated from my country, Guatemala.

I’ve encountered so many different cultures as a young woman; I realized that I lost part of my heritage. I felt the need to go back and search for my own roots.. Now, part of my objective is to try and regain some of the heritage I lost when I came to the United States. My first step was going back to my country, where I discovered Guatemala is a world renowned for the color, quality and richnes

s of the Mayan fabrics. The Guatemalan handcraft sector encompasses approximately 1 million persons; most of them being native people spread along the 22 departments of the republic. With a larger concentration in the western and central zones of the county, it is estimated that 70% of this population are female weavers and artisans. This is how I discovered my strengths as a woman, and thus, felt the need to show the world their handmade goods, as a result of their hard work, determination, and perspiration.
