The Dance Loft was opened in 1984 by Willa Damien and has become a leader in dance education on Long Island's south shore. In 2014, Brooke Robyn Dairman joined Ms. Damien as Co-Director, and together they established a world-class training program unparalleled by any other facility in the area. Lisa Bronshteyn became Associate Director in 2016 and joined Ms. With extensive class offerings and a st

aff of leading professionals, students of all ages and abilities continue to return to The Dance Loft year after year. Serious students are drawn to our structured classes, professional faculty, and award-winning competition team. Recreational dancers enjoy our wide range of class offerings that allow students to develop at their own pace. The Dance Loft offers one of the only adult dance programs on Long Island, and we welcome adult students of all levels and ages. 🎓 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: KAYLA SCOTT 🎓

12 years. Countless classes, competitions, performances, and memories.

From dancing in a bumble bee costume to a Winnie the Pooh tap dance as a little girl, to becoming the dancer and teammate she is today, Kayla’s journey at The Dance Loft has been one of growth, determination, and courage.

When asked to describe her dance journey in three words, she chose: Persistent. Courageous. Evolving. ❤️

One thing Kayla says she’ll always remember about her time at TDL is the support she received from her teammates, teachers, and dance family over the years. Through every challenge, celebration, and milestone, she was surrounded by people who believed in her and helped her grow.

As she heads to UNC Wilmington to pursue a degree in Nursing, we’re excited to watch her step outside her comfort zone, embrace new experiences, and continue becoming the incredible young woman we know she is.

When asked what song best describes her time at TDL, Kayla chose Graduate by Third Eye Blind. ✨

14 years. Endless rehearsals, competition weekends, recital memories, and friendships that will last a lifetime.

From her first duet with her best friend Raqui to her final season as a senior, Marissa’s dance journey has been filled with unforgettable moments, lots of fun, and the people who made it all worthwhile.

Beyond the studio, Marissa has also achieved an incredible milestone, graduating as the Valedictorian of the Long Beach High School Class of 2026!

As she heads to SUNY Binghamton to study Biology/Pre-Med and continue dancing with a college dance company, we’re so excited to watch her take on this next chapter.

When asked what song best describes her time at TDL, Marissa chose Don’t Stay Low by The Good Mad, a song that reflects the determination and resilience she has brought to every step of her journey. ✨
