We bring forth to you all, DAYCATION THEATRE!
**Daycation Theatre is a sketch comedy show created in Long Beach, CA by Actor/Writer and Founding Artistic Director Dennis Pearson. Originally created to be an “Artists Gym” Daycation was meant to be a place where performers, directors, and writers could showcase their material and accidentally became the blueprint for a successful sketch comedy show. Performing throughout the Los Angeles area and following the lead of SNL, Mad TV, and In Living Color, Daycation is unique in it’s approach to create and entertain audiences with hilarious sketch comedy by using a combination of Original Scripted writing, Stage Combat, Music, and Improvisation as a means to create comedic scenes. Each show runs about 1 hour and consists of 6 brand new original sketches referred to as “Episodes” derived from group improvisation and Writing sessions, then honed into a finely crafted performance piece that is sure to tickle your funny bone! Daycation made it’s Debut on March 28th, 2014 in front of a sold out crowd at Manazar Gamboa Theatre and continued to sell out it’s next 5 episodes, adding more and more seats as the fanbase continued to grow each show. Backed by an amazing crew of writers/designers/directors and comprised of a talented cast of Actors, comedians, Fight Choreographers and Improvisational Artists, the group celebrated their 1 year anniversary in March of 2015. Future plans include Daycation TV, a web series that will bring Daycations unique comedy to the interwebs, as well as companion projects featuring several cast members.
