“The act of creating is more important than the result” 🎨

Lately, I’ve been thinking about how once our pots have been fired to maturity they’ll last for thousands of years. Our pots will outlive us!!

Whilst being immortalized through our art is pretty freaking cool, I want to be more intentional about what I choose to fire and what I recycle in the green ware stage.

Note to self: I don’t need to keep/ fire everything I make. Sometimes it’s just about ~creating •

Fun collab with florist 💐

Tania requested a set of custom vases for Mother’s Day 💗

We both really love traditional Mexican pottery. (Colorful and loud)

But we also wanted to add a modern feel to it. (calm and neutrals)

Sooo -
A traditional Talavera design was incorporated, but in the simplest way possible.

Bare clay and white underglaze with slight specks from the oxidation decorate the outside.

On the inside: sun valley {fav studio glaze}

The double handle was just me playing around with a new design. The more I played the more I saw elements of Greek amphoras. Which obvi i loved 🥰

Tania, thank you for giving me the creative freedom to make these vases. I had so much fun making them!!! Many more to come 🏺💗🎉
