Shortly after I bought the theatre, which I knew absolutely nothing about, this stranger who I had never met contacted me asking if I’d like her to make me a calendar for showtimes. I remember kind of rolling my eyes, knowing that nobody would want a weekly “job” of calendar making, but didn’t want to be rude or ungrateful so we met for breakfast. I really was already so overwhelmed that I didn’t want to take the time to meet up and spend energy I didn’t have, talking to someone that I just knew wouldn’t last. I could not have been more wrong. For almost 8 years straight, every single week, this amazing person has taken the time to update these calendars for me…for you! Think of all the people that has benefited by this one, unbelievably kind individual. She has no idea just how much she helped keep the theatre alive and open. The world is an absolute better place with her in it. Please, let’s all say a huge THANK YOU to (we’re going to call her “Rose” as I don’t know if she wants to be called out and she loves gardening so seems fitting). This is the last and final calendar I have asked from her. It was very emotional email for me…although we’ve only met in person a handful of times, we’ve gotten to know each other through our short emails. And, fun fact, the brown leather couch in theatre one against the back wall was from her and her husband. My favorite couch to sit in. She is and always will be a big part of Neptune Theatre. ❤️
(One of my wonderful staff will be taking over the calendars so they WILL still be coming)
