Sometimes life has a different plan for us…
After 25 years working in Quality Assurance, I was recently laid off.
At first, it was hard. Like anyone who’s been through it, I wondered, “What’s next?”
But then I realized something…
Almost 9 years ago, while working my full-time QA job, I started Pic Me Boston as a side business. During the week, I was testing software. On nights and weekends, I was setting up photo booths at weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, fundraisers, and celebrations all over New England.
For nearly a decade, I worked two jobs because I believed in what I was building.
When I lost my corporate job, I had a choice: look for another QA position or finally give my business 100% of my attention.
I decided to bet on myself.
Today, Pic Me Boston isn’t my side hustle anymore, it’s my full-time career, and I’m excited for this next chapter.
To everyone who has supported me over the years - my family, friends, former coworkers, clients, and everyone who has booked us for your events, thank you. Every event, every recommendation, and every kind word has helped me get to this point.
Now I’m asking for one more favor.
If you’re planning a wedding, corporate event, holiday party, birthday, fundraiser, school event, or any special celebration, I’d love the opportunity to be part of it.
And if you know someone looking for a photo booth or AI event experience, I’d truly appreciate it if you shared my name or tagged them in the comments.
Starting over can be scary, but I truly believe the best is yet to come.
Thank you all for being part of this journey. ❤️
