“WHERE IS THE ₦15 TRILLION BUDGETED FOR THE LAGOS–CALABAR COASTAL ROAD?” — FEMI FALANA SAN QUESTIONS PROJECT FUNDING!

Human rights activist and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Barr. Femi Falana, has reportedly questioned the funding of the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Road project, raising concerns over the ₦15 trillion reportedly budgeted for the massive project.

In a statement attributed to him, Falana said:

🗣️ “Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road has now become a land road because it cannot be funded. Where is the ₦15 trillion budgeted for that road?”

His remarks have raised a major question about the funding and implementation of one of Nigeria’s most talked-about infrastructure projects.

🇳🇬 Nigerians deserve answers! If ₦15 trillion was budgeted for this road, where is the money, and what is the current state of the project?

“I bought fuel worth ₦80,000 and worked all night yesterday as a Bolt and inDrive driver. All I made was ₦60,000, leaving me with nothing to take home to feed my family.

I have four children and a wife to take care of. I pay their school fees, provide food for them, and still have to service my car.”

— Bolt and inDrive drivers has cried out over the harsh realities drivers face on ride-hailing platforms.

According to one of the drivers, despite working all night and spending a huge amount on fuel, his earnings could not even cover his expenses, leaving him with zero profit to feed his family.

He lamented that the current fare structure is not sustainable, as drivers now spend more on fuel and car maintenance than what they earn from trips.😭😭🙏🙏

"I SUSPEND YOU" - Cardinal Onaiyekan Reveals Why Gov. Alia Is Not A Catholic Priest, Says "His Bishop Told Him No, Law Of Our Church Has Not Been Followed"

Former Archbishop of Abuja, John Cardinal Onaiyekan, has clarified the status of Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, in the Catholic Church.

Speaking in a recent interview, the Cardinal said:

"I have nothing against Father Alia but you're asking a question, the law of our church has not been followed, he did not meet those criteria and his bishop told him no, and he decided he will go and his bishop said okay if you go I SUSPEND YOU"

Cardinal Onaiyekan explained that Governor Alia remains suspended from public ministry.

Nigeria's first lady, Remi Tinubu has sent a strong warning to WIKE and those promoting rainbow coalition while claiming to be supporting president Tinubu’s re-election.

According to her, it is the President’s political party, the All Progressive Congress that will appear on the ballot paper and not the President’s name. Hence, she explained that the focus must be on promoting the party rather than on individual candidates.

She enjoined those who are genuinely supporting the president to focus on promoting the APC rather than maintaining divided allegiance to the party.🙏🇳🇬💯

The Enugu State Government has alleged that opposition elements are planning to bring armed thugs and bandits into the state to create panic ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Secretary to the State Government, Professor Chidiebere Onyia, made the allegation while addressing incidents involving the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Akanu Ibiam International Airport and its state secretariat.

Onyia said the airport confrontation followed the party’s alleged failure to obtain approval from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) for a planned campaign rally. He also confirmed that police were investigating a shooting at the NDC secretariat, where a 43-year-old man sustained gunshot injuries, while disputing reports of fatalities.

The government denied involvement in both incidents and urged political parties to embrace peaceful, issue-based campaigns.
