wow, what a senior season.
The day after State has always constituted a very long post made by myself, though I guess this will be my last one. To say I am proud would simply be an understatement. This group, in the six years I have been a member, has went through a head director change my freshman year, Covid-19 my sophomore year, and an assistant director change my junior year and through it all, has consistently finished amongst the top bands in the state. Yesterday was the best day of my life thus far. We advanced to state finals for the fifth consecutive year, and I can very very very proudly say I was a part of every single one of them. The Rush, Unleashed, Queen B, Dark Horse, and Bad Guys. The shows that have changed my life for the better.
I am eternally grateful to have been one of the SLHS Drum Majors for the last three years. I have grown so much as leader, but even more as a friend and a person. Through my position, I found my best friend, , and this last season, joined the party. I love you all so much, and am proud to have served alongside you this season.
I will never forget my time in the Marching Band, and I will stick around as much as I can until you all get sick of me. Though I am closing the door on this monumental chapter of my life, I will always be thankful for the experiences the band has given me. I love you all. Thank you for the last six years, SLHS Marching Band.
