It’s been a wonderful & magical (almost) 3 years serving the children & families in our community through The Play House at The Make Space.
We have made so many amazing friends during our time here, made countless messes & art projects, and been able to give back to our community through many free events, free seats to classes, & several monetary donations to deserving families & organizations. We have celebrated birthdays, holidays, & many small milestones through play, art, & togetherness.
Owning this business has been a literal dream come true. We have worked tirelessly to make it a reality & seeing it come to fruition has been so rewarding.
It’s me, Megan, back here typing. But, I always say “we” because it’s never been possible without the support of you all who have invested your time and money, those who have worked so hard alongside me, and my husband and family who have sacrificed so much to allow me to chase a dream.
It takes so, SO much to keep a small business alive. I have learned endless lessons over the past 3 years and many of them the hard way. But, I have been grateful for every second. It is a simple fact of life that the things we want don’t always align with our realities or capacities. And, sometimes the desparate pursuit of things we want leaves us falling short in other places that are truly more important.
With that, I am excited to share we are leaving our studio space and officially going 100% MOBILE! While having a studio space has been amazing, the ultimate goal since the beginning has been to have a mobile studio that services children across our region and I am so excited for “The Play Truck” to become a reality!
There still isn’t a truck, but for now, the minivan will continue to work! 😉 Through the mobile studio we will offer classes and events at local parks, businesses, and schools, as well as offer popup birthday parties on occasion. 🎉
This is a huge change and it is very bittersweet— but, for us it is not sad. So, please don’t be sorry! More than anything, we are breathing a sigh of relief and excitement to get to continue to serve the children in our community by meeting them where they are! I cannot wait to see what the future holds for The Play Truck in 2024 and beyond!
I’ll end by saying THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart, for the past 3 years. It has been a gift to make memories with you at 312 N Main and I am eternally grateful!
P.S. Our friends at Imagine It are staying open & are looking forward to sharing exciting news about their next steps soon! It has been nothing short of a blessing to share the studio with them over the past year & we cannot wait to see what they continue to do. ❤️
