As of June 30, 2026 Misfit Toys Industries will close its doors maybe for good, maybe for ill but certainly forevermore. In our 12 years we presented more unique programs than anyone else, gave some work paid and unpaid to folks in our industry and even won some awards. Sadly, these days that just isn't enough. Thanks for the memories, good, bad and triumphant.

Happy New Year!

After 10+ years as Executive Producer of Misfit Toys Industries, I have decided to retire. 50+ years as an actor. 30+ years as a Producer and after hundreds of shows, it's time to set aside the business and become a mentor and advisor.

As of tonight at midnight, I resign my position at Misfit Toys Industries as Executive Producer to usher in a new era of leadership and opportunities. I am proud and honored to hand the company over to our very capable, competent and incredibly creative COO, Trey Piper.

Trey has been in since the start. He has shared our visions, our tears and our triumphs. His vision of an expanded MTI is the right course for our company and for our impact on the region. I fully support Trey and will remain on the Board of Directors in full alliance with him to provide support, counsel and advice as he leads MTI deep into the 21st century.

MTI has touched many lives. It was my pleasure, honor and delight to lead this troupe of incredibly creative, energetic and ORIGINAL artists for over 10 years. The time at MTI caps my 50+ years in the business as the finest group of artists I have ever known. Our legacy will always be the love, laughs and even the occasional gasp we earned from you, our wonderful, dedicated audience.

While I intend to continue to make new episodes of "The Darklands" and other projects, I look most forward to being a fan, supporter and admirer of all the delightful products and people that pass through MTI in the future.

You, our audience, have always been so generous and kind to me and my silly ideas. To you I can only bow politely and smile gratefully as I "exit stage left."

My love and blessings to you all! May 2025 bring you joy and peace.

DARKLANDS AUDITIONS

Season 3 will be recording over the summer and we have roles to fill!

“The Darklands” is an original, scripted suspense-thriller show broadcast over traditional radio and on the internet as a fast-growing podcast. Available on demand on Spotify and YouTube, it has gained a national reputation and a small but growing international audience.

Our popular little radio show has all NEW adventures and needs YOU to make them happen!

Digital Auditions (via Zoom, Google or phone) will be accepted June 8 and 9. Drop a comment or a DM to schedule when you want to make your appointment. Sides provided via e mail.

We aren’t releasing full scripts yet, for obvious reasons. Planned release is in October if all goes well.
