My name is Vicki Webb, and as a "newbie" at booking acts for the Maple Street Concert series I would like to thank some special people for making my first season so successful. Thanks to Ron Leaneagh, Maurice Smeets and Joel Simpson for their sound expertise; Denny Davis for her advice and help with selling raffle tickets; Mark and Diane Swiss for being greeters along with a multitude of other tasks; Matthew Pedraza for promoting the series online as well as taking photos and videos at the concerts; Russ Reneau as emcee and his wife Jean for being our cookie baker; Lilli Kuzma on Folk Festival on 90.9fm WDCB Public Radio for promoting our series; Charlie Peterson for creating our brochures; and last but not least, my husband, Al, for carting all the treats from our home to church and helping to set up and clean up. While I am not new to the series, as I have volunteered for MANY years, this was a giant leap for me that I could not have done without the guidance from all the people listed above. I took over this series from Melissa Dagenhart and I am grateful to her for being my sounding board and "Did I do it correctly?" support! I look forward to next season with some new acts that everyone is very excited about! THANK YOU to our patrons who continue to support live music and contribute to the preservation of the historic Maple Street Chapel by attending our concerts. Look for news about our upcoming season on this website. See you in September! ❤️

The Chapel was rockin' last night with The Dynamic Duos of the 60s. Zach and Kieran gave 1000% to the crowd that braved the cold to attend.🤩

It was a full house with the always entertaining The Special Consensus! This was their 20th year with us, and their 51st anniversary as a band. They will be back next year on Jan. 3, 2027!

What an awesome show last night! The weather was spectacular and so was the crowd. Lee Murdock kicked the holiday season off with a musical walk through the Great Lakes history of the famous Christmas tree ship. We saw many new faces, and many familiar ones, too. Thank you for making this 34th annual concert such a success. We look forward to next year...celebrating Lee's 35th anniversary of where it all began...in the historic Maple Street Chapel.

James Gordon has been there. He’s done that. He’s had a remarkably diverse and resilient career in the Canadian entertainment business. As a solo singer-songwriter and with the ground-breaking trio Tamarack, he’s recorded at least 40 albums, and toured relentlessly around the world. For more than ten years he was heard on CBC radio as songwriter-in-residence for the ’Basic Black’ and ‘Ontario Morning’ programs. Between tours, James is a record producer, playwright, author, community activist, theatre director, festival director, and a retired City Councillor in his hometown of Guelph Ontario. His new ‘musical’ novel “The Ark Of The Oven Mitt” was a finalist for the Stephen Leacock Humour Award. His classic song “Frobisher Bay” has been covered by over 100 artists. His new album is “Wrinkles and Scars”. These days he’s appearing solo, with his “exceptional ensemble”, a six-piece outfit that debuted his new album at Hugh’s Room in Toronto, and as a duo with Guelph singer Connie Murch. Jamesgordon.ca

What an awesome way to end the 40th season of Maple Street Concerts! The High 48s had the audience engaged from their first note. It was Bluegrass heaven! Special thanks to Melissa Dagenhart for booking this act. We look forward to seeing you all back in September for our 41st year. Keep an eye out for our schedule for next season.
