UPDATE on the upcoming Fiberglass Freaks' Batman Museum in Logansport, Indiana: The architects tell me that it will be 'about' three months to jump the hurdles of the state and city for approval to open. Without the 'certificate of occupancy' we can't open the doors.

In the meantime, I'm happy to report that the Wayne Manor study is looking absolutely gorgeous, the main floor of the museum has been sanded, stained, and polyurethaned and looks equally nice, and the Batcave looks absolutely incredible. We are about to make a giant shadowbox for the screen-used and autographed items, and that is the last major project until we get word back from the state about any requirements they may have.

It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the cancellation of Bat Con 2020 this September in Logansport. Like you, we eagerly anticipate Batcon every year as a time of fun, connection, and celebration of our shared love of 1966 Batman and other versions of the Dark Knight.

We hope and pray that things will be much different by September, but with the recent massive COVID-19 spike in Logansport, and following the CDC guidelines, we don't see a clear picture of how we can make this happen any time soon.

The safety of our attendees, exhibitors, and staff are very important to us, and we cannot in good conscience host a gathering of hundreds, while doing so could threaten the health of so many. The only responsible choice is to cancel Batcon this year.

We will have Batcon in September, 2021. We'll see you then, my friends!

The Fiberglass Freaks Museum is coming along well. The ceiling and walls in the gift shop look amazing, the east and west walls beyond the gift shop are patched, sanded, and painted, and the villain shelves in the rogues gallery are done! Next up: Wayne Manor and the theater!
