Artista Rock School

Artista Rock School ARS is a performance based music program bringing young musicians together to perform rock music from all decades.

Our program is designed to have students collaborating in bands ASAP, as this has proven to yield powerful, mind-blowing results! Give a child the gift of music and performing arts and you give a gift of experience that lasts a lifetime. The program helps occupy students, encouraging them to be passionate about something, and protecting them from less desirable activities, while offering a sense of belonging. ARS believes if we prepare kids for stage performance, and provide consistent opportunities for them to collaborate and showcase their talent, they can do anything!

Today’s memory from (5) years ago has us missing all these extraordinary ARS “kids” -especially that crazy guitar player who was always making us laugh with his ridiculous expressions during any photos/videos. V can’t stop laughing watching him now! Kadie, Peyton, Caden & Jack are all super talented musicians & each played an integral role at ARS. V remembers Jack the most & even though he was so young, that now 17/18 yr old young man & his amazing sister, Kate, are often credited for helping shape V’s cool personality, as they spent the most time with him during his most impressionable years. We are so grateful!

Thanks to Facebook, we were reminded today of this incredible moment -the multi-talented Brice Berry doing what he loved most (but the memory won't post correctly & is omitting our original write up).

Brice had an undeniable musical & acting talent, but even more than that, he brought heart, dedication, & something truly special to everyone around him. He is deeply missed by all of us at Artista Rock School & all who knew him.

We’re so very grateful to have known him, to have heard him play, & to carry his music with us (partly b/c of FB memories like this).

Who's ready to ROCK the Hocking County Fair with us TOMORROW/FRIDAY the 15th!?!

ARS will take the stage, in the Eagles Shelter House, 7-10PM. Jack Hipple & Landon Fuller's KILLER Acoustic Opener will be followed by a PHENOMENAL ARS Full Band Rock Concert!!!

(***Please note there were some time discrepancies on social media, but what was printed in the official fair guide is correct. We start at 7:00 -not 8pm.)

= (3) full hours of professional live entertainment, featuring our local young rock stars & instructors who chose super cool, high energy rock 'n' roll covers you really won't want to miss!

- Melissa Steward Nelson, & the entire Hocking County Fair Board, for supporting our local young musicians & extending an invite to ARS to perform once again!

-St. Matthew Lutheran Church for so generously continuing to be ARS' home, even during their times of transition. We would not exist without them.

Last day to hit the best festival in Hocking Hills & YES, the sun is shining at Bishop Educational Gardens! The gardens & artists will blow you away; add in the awesome music echoing throughout & you'll have created the perfect setting on a gorgeous Sunday.

No fee to park or enter.
