I opened Surreal Ink in 2013 shortly after beginning my body art journey. Since we have become one of the most renowned shops in the northern Utah area and have worked with tens of thousands of satisfied clients. I spend a large portion of my time piercing and mentoring local artists but the majority of my work is tattooing. I describe my style as greywash realism and blackwork. I love doing horror, scenes from movies, and anything animal or nature related. I’m not afraid of a little color or floral but am more particular about what I take on. Shout out to our tattoo apprentice Maccoy Smith ! Coy brings a consistent and unique vibe to Surreal with his custom flash and affinity for cute macabre aesthetics. He is currently taking on custom tattoo designs and selling pre drawn artwork like the pictures above. We’re excited to announce Coy will pick up his machine and begin his technical tattoo training today; Give him an add at Maccoy Smith so you don’t miss anything!

introducing our apprentice Piercer Sam Hedgecock ! Sam joined us at Surreal a few months back as we opened our new shop and has been studying the craft ever since. She is currently working for tips doing Jewelry adjustments and custom curations. By the end of the month Sam will be taking on a wide range of body piercings for pass off. You can add her Sam Hedgecock to schedule an apprentice piercing or walk in most days of the week for an adjustment. Welcome to the shop Sam!

Thanks for coming to celebrate and kick back with us! A little summer heat won’t slow us down when we have fresh drinks and good people. We’re excited about our new location.
