Unfortunately, we’re canceling tomorrow’s Vibes On Logan.

After today’s rain and with little to no sunshine in tomorrow’s forecast, the boulevard simply isn’t going to dry out the way we’d hoped. We’d rather cancel than ask everyone to spend the afternoon sitting in wet grass and muddy conditions.

Today’s storms also left one of the Vibes organizers dealing with significant water damage at home. Today and tomorrow will be spent tearing out drywall, baseboards, and carpet while drying out speakers and records that were caught up in the flooding.

We’re especially disappointed because we were looking forward to welcoming TROMBLAU, NewLife, Mr Jaytoo Thedjyomamaluv, Hippie Dreams Ice Cream, Brew Dream Coffee, Tj Mexican Food, and everyone who planned on spending their Sunday with us.

Thank you for understanding. We’ll take this weekend to reset, take care of what’s in front of us, and look forward to gathering with you all again soon.

One of the things we love most about Vibes is watching different corners of Chicago’s music community meet on the same boulevard.

This Sunday, we’re excited to welcome three selectors whose paths through Chicago’s music community are uniquely their own.

TROMBLAU brings a musician’s ear, weaving together jazz, soul, and beautifully unexpected records. NewLife returns to the boulevard with decades of dance music knowledge shaped by Chicago and beyond. And Mr Jaytoo Thedjyomamaluv reminds us why deep crates of soul, funk, afrobeat, and disco never go out of style.

DJ D.R.E.A.M. and Mike L Bangles will be in the mix throughout the afternoon, keeping the records moving between guest sets.

Grab a coffee from Brew Dream Coffee, lunch from Tj Mexican Food, and browse the latest from Hippie Dreams Ice Cream while you’re on the boulevard. Our friends at Choom | 🌱-Infused Bevs will also be back with complimentary samples while supplies last.

Bring a chair. Support the vendors. And if you’re able, drop a few dollars in the donation bucket before you head home. Every contribution helps keep Vibes free and community-supported.

Every Vibes adds another chapter to the story.

Looking back on these photos, we’re reminded that this has always been about creating a place where people can slow down, reconnect with neighbors, discover great music, and spend a Sunday together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, supported our vendors, danced, donated, shared a conversation, or simply found a spot on the grass.

Moments like these don’t happen on their own. They’re made possible by a community that continues to show up for one another and believes in what we’re building together.
