Stage1 is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to providing Live Youth Music Venues for children to perform at. Its mission is to create a safe musical playground for area youth to perform and hang-out. We envision a great place to play music and perform within walking distances of every child. Not enough music venues are being built; those that exist are often in despair. Like many non-profits, Stage1 exists to solve a problem: The Play Deficit. Our teens are playing less than any previous generation, and this lack of play is causing them profound physical, intellectual, social, and emotional harm. Fears surrounding lawsuits and safety are trumping common sense, resulting in sterile, uninspired teen music “play” environments. Stage1 is a newly formed non-profit Christian organization providing safe places for area teens and youth to perform, play, and hang-out while enjoying themselves in a multitude of ways. Stage1 encourages our youth to take-on volunteer job roles while entertaining a youth crowd and helping throughout our community by using their many talents. Students are taught to develop a marketing plan, advertise events, organize programs and itineraries, and learn valuable skills that help them in the workforce while encouraging their spirit of community. Stage1 gives young artists an opportunity to hone their skills and gifts in a safe, Christian, family environment while promoting and supporting them in a public arena. Stage1’s mission is to provide low cost music lessons and instruments to low income children with a volunteer board and staff members to undertake the vision of providing a quality music education to disadvantaged youth. Stage1 is in the launching phase for our youth Christian music program. We are seeking a location in Medina Co, Ohio. With your donation we are able to work towards our funding goal of $25,000 to get the doors open. Stage1 accepts donations of any new or used instruments; music books; music equipment; or money donations in any amount. Because or your loving donation to Stage1, our vision is closer to watching their dreams come true! Stage1 is run by student volunteers of all ages serving our community while being mentored by our adult volunteer staff. Stage1 teaches our youth team how to develop a marketing plan, advertise the events, organize the program, and other skills needed to create successful concerts. The youth involved in these events are members of the Stage1 Advisory Team. They learn valuable skills that help them in the work field as well as learning how to share their faith. The teen Advisory Team earns Voluntary “Dollars” to use towards their Stage1 purchases. The ability for a newly formed teen “Band Management” group to conceptualize, manage and collaborate to create an original Rock Concert in the matter of a few months is nothing short of Amazing! Stage1 teens ROCK! There are over 103,777 Teens within a thirty minute radius of Stage1. Stage1 Teens perform at large local companies showcasing numerous young talented artists. Each of these events bring over 5,000 people annually to their shows. Both “The MCRC” and “The Oaks Family Care Center” have years of high standard reputations throughout our area.
