Hey fellow ukesters!! It might seem early to you, but Marcia and I have been very busy trying to put this years festival together! A few announcements for you:
Don't forget to make your reservation. You have to talk to MacKenzie at 608-635-4806 and tell her you're with the uke group. That will get you the off-season rate. You may end up going to her voicemail, but leave her a message and she will get back to you!
We're looking for workshop leaders. Whether you've taught before or this would be your first time, we'd love to hear from you. Don't be shy. Got something uke related that you're passionate about and would like to show others, please let us know. We welcome all kinds of of ideas and experience levels. One of the best parts of this festival is learning from each other. If you have a skill style, technique or musical topic you'd like to share, please consider leading a workshop. Some of the best festival moments often come from fellow players sharing what they love. If anyone has any ideas for workshops or really enjoyed a workshop from years past and would like a refresher in it, please let us know that as well!
It's going to be another great raffle this year! Ukes, strings, t-shirts, sweatshirts, gift cards, etc. If anyone would like to make a donation to the raffle this year, please let me know soon as I'm currently working on the donations. We've had quilts, jewelry items and other miscellaneous donations in the past. It all goes towards keeping this a free festival for all to enjoy!
