📣📣📣OK here we go we’ve got another art auction for the month of March. Our featured artist is Peggy D**e. The auction starts tomorrow and her opening reception is Saturday from 6 to 8. He’s the Man behind the scenes. My husband Shaun Reginald.🫶🏼 I could not be doing all the things with out his unwavering support. Shaun and I met in Highschool art class and it’s so fitting that we’re in this business together. He was my moving company for the new location!! He hangs the paintings, fixes things and runs errands. He changes the lightbulbs and marquee signage. Here he’s learning the check out system and helping customers. He watches the kids and makes the dinners. He’s such an encouragement to me and is definitely my better half. I hit the jackpot with him and soon he’ll be bringing His art to the gallery!!! I can’t wait to reveal what he’s been working on. I love you soooo much babe! Thanks for everything!!😘🫶🏼🎉

Watercolor class tomorrow is from 10-12. Doors open at 9:45. $35.00. We’ll be going over personal goals for each artist and setting a plan for a final piece. Be thinking about what interests you… we have a lot of examples in the studio if you are unsure. Just bring your supplies and I’ll provide the paper. Here it is!! Farley Lewis Art course. 4 Wednesdays in a row starting March 20th, March 27th, April 3rd, April 10th. The class time is 12:30-3:30. Here is a description of what to look forward to..

#1 – DESIGNING EYE-CATCHING PAINTINGS
March 20, 2024
There are four primary visual elements that grab and hold
the eye; knowing these and how to use them effectively will help
you design and do better paintings. We’ll also cover how to compensate
for the weaknesses of photos, learning to see and paint values and keeping
your eye on the main thing. The class begins with a short teaching time
and demonstration. Individuals receive focused attention as they work
on their own paintings.

#2 – CAPTURING AUTHENTIC-LOOKING LIGHT
March 27, 2024
Learn key principles for observing and using values and mixing colors
to create the look of authentic light. We’ll explore sun and shadows and
the way light behaves in order to paint it better. The class begins with a
short teaching time and demonstration. Individuals receive focused
attention as they work on their own paintings.

#3 – COLOR IT BEAUTIFUL
April 3, 2024
Learn the fine art of using color with flare. This involves learning how
to use neutrals and grays, how to transition colors within a shape and
how to get the most out of your highlights. The class begins with a short
teaching time and demonstration. Individuals receive focused attention
as they work on their own paintings.

#4 – BOLD & BEAUTIFUL BRUSHWORK
April 10, 2024
Learn new and creative ways to apply paint, and mindsets that break off
timidity and help you have fun, relax and develop your voice as an artist.
We’ll also cover why pursuing the goal of being original actually isn’t the
best way to discover your artistic voice. The class begins with a short
teaching time and demonstration. Individuals receive focused attention as they work on their own paintings.

Next week I’ll be teaching at 14 Mill Market. Tuesday night the 27th. From 6-8. I’ve decided to teach both the funny fox and the Beautiful Butterfly. So you pick your painting. $30 includes all your supplies and step by step instructions. In the comments there are 2 registration links.
