We are heartbroken by this tragic news. Sara performed as part of the Jazz at the Taylor series a number of times. She was a talented, beautiful soul. We send our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends & all who experienced her light.

Very sadly, the news is trickling out about the loss of one of our dearest in the JazzBuffalo, musician, education, and therapy communities. Still, under investigation, Sara Rogers died in the fatal accident last night involving a driver suffering a medical episode and hitting 3 bicyclists. Sara was the 1 fatality in the accident.

Our hearts are broken collectively as a community this evening. May the music of Sara Rogers Music live on in eternity.

We lift up Sara, her family, Nelson Rivera, and her many friends in prayer for the challenging times ahead.

Working with Bridget Whitmore Licata has been great. She is creative, shares ideas and is a good collaborator. The Carriage House Players wish Bridget all the best as she moves into a terrific new position that will employ her many talents. Congratulations!

The Carriage House Players will not hold a one-act play festival this summer, as previously was announced. There are many variables in place including the resurgence in Covid infections which have affected most, if not all, theater productions in WNY. We appreciate the overwhelming interest this festival was given by local playwrights and are disappointed to have to cancel/postpone at this point in time.

We welcome our stage manager, Callie Keavey! Callie is a busy stage manager, actor, and designer. She works primarily as the Production Director at Bellissima Productions and spends her summers at OnStage!, Elmwood Franklin School’s summer theatre camp. Throughout her years of production, some favorite shows include Spring Awakening (set and prop design) and Meteor Shower (stage manager) with Bellissima and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (Nurse Ratched) and American Idiot (assistant stage manager) with Canisius College Little Theatre. Upcoming projects include a full summer of OnStage!, Falsettos, opening in June, and Dogfight, opening in September, with Bellissima.
