and Jessica were out swing dancing at WWII Days in Lockport and were approached about lessons. They agreed to meet with the family a few days later and were surprised by the hoard of people who came to the very first lesson. What started out as a weekly two-hour social dance lesson for a bunch of home-schoolers soon blossomed into a weekly hour-long lesson followed by a two-hour social dance party

. Open to all ages, The Lockport Swing Thing is held at ROXY Lockport in Lockport, Illinois. The Lockport Swing Thing events are always free—please consider donating to Trinity Services, the nonprofit that owns ROXY.
