🎃👻 PINE STREET HORROR HAUNTED HOUSE IS NOW HIRING!

Get paid to scare this October! We’re looking for temporary actors, general staff, security, builders, and more to join us for our 2026 season.

We’ll be hosting two in-person hiring events. If you’re interested in working at Pine Street Horror, you’ll need to attend anytime during one of the dates and times below. Interviews should take about 15 minutes.

Friday, September 11 | 5 PM–10 PM
Saturday, September 12 | 11 AM–4 PM & 6 PM–10 PM

If you’re applying to be an actor, you’ll also need to audition. No need to prepare anything or dress up, just show up!

You can save time by filling out an application ahead of time at pinestreethorror.com. Even if you apply online, you’ll still need to attend one of the in-person hiring events.

Open interviews will be held at 33 Pine St., Lockport, NY. Enter through the front of the building underneath the Pine Street Horror sign.

These are temporary, paid minimum-wage positions. To get an idea of the working dates and hours for the season, visit our website.

In 1890, a local furniture maker named D.W. Whitmore opened a shop to support his family. When furniture sales began to dwindle, he expanded his business into coffin-making and eventually became the city’s undertaker.

Tragedy struck in the early 1900s when Whitmore unexpectedly lost his wife and two children under circumstances that remain unknown. In the years following this devastating loss, he grew increasingly reclusive. Soon after, rumors began to circulate as local townsfolk started to quietly disappear.

After decades of fear and speculation, Whitmore died abruptly in 1930, taking his darkest secrets to the grave and forcing the business to close. Although the building changed ownership and evolved over the years, that infamous forty-year period remains its most unsettling chapter.

Today, the history buried within its walls has been unearthed, and the spirits are ready to tell their story at the Pine Street Horror Haunted House.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our very first Summerween in Downtown Lockport! We’re incredibly grateful and excited to be part of this amazing community.

Summerween is TOMORROW from 11AM-4PM! We can’t wait to see everyone! It’s going to be one hell of a time!

Please read our parking information before you arrive. DO NOT park in any private lots. Please use street parking or the City of Lockport public parking lots. A list of city parking lots can be found on our website. We DO NOT have any agreements with private parking lots.

We hope you’ll come out and support all of the amazing local businesses, vendors, and community groups helping make Summerween possible! While you’re in town, be sure to stop by other Lockport businesses before or after Summerween and show this incredible community some love.
