✨ MEET OUR FIRST 2026 DANCER OF THE YEAR! ✨

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on Emma N., our 2026 Dancer of the Year representing our Core Classes division! 💗

Emma is a beautiful example of what it means to be an ADC Dancer of the Year. This recognition isn’t simply about how many turns you can do, how high you can kick, or what happens on stage.

It’s about the WHOLE DANCER. ✨

It’s showing up.
It’s perseverance.
It’s kindness.
It’s encouraging the dancer beside you.
It’s choosing a positive attitude when something feels hard.
It’s growing not only as a dancer, but as a person.

Emma embodies so many of the qualities we value at Apopka Dance Center, and we are SO proud to celebrate her! 🥹💕

Want to learn more about Emma, our other 2026 Dancers of the Year, and the program created to recognize dancers who lead, inspire, and uplift?

Head to www.apopkadance.com/dancer-of-the-year to read all about it!

Help us give Emma a HUGE congratulations in the comments! 👏💗

🎃👻 IT’S OFFICIALLY SPOOKY SEASON! 👻🎃

And you know what that means… COSTUME DRESS-UP WEEK IS COMING! 🕸️✨

Save the date because October 26–31 is your chance to bring a little Halloween magic into the studio! 🧡

Dancers can wear:
🎃 Their favorite Halloween costume
🩰 A favorite past Dance Concert costume
👻 Something spooky, silly, sparkly, or totally YOU!

We LOVE seeing our dancers get creative and have a little extra fun in class! But remember: whatever you choose, make sure you can safely dance in it. Costumes should allow dancers to move freely and safely, and shoes should still be appropriate for class.

We can’t wait to see what our dancers come up with! 👀🎃

October 26–31… let the costume fun begin! 🕷️🖤

We are officially OBSESSED with our SZN 3 Company photos! 🤩📸🌿

Our amazing photographer, Miss Courtney, absolutely HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK again! And now we’re extra lucky because she’s not only behind the camera… she’s officially part of the ADC faculty as our Tap Teacher! 💚

Every season, our Apopka Dance Company dancers get the opportunity to participate in a professional photoshoot, and it’s something we truly believe is an important part of their dance experience.

✨ It builds confidence. Dancers get to step in front of the camera, own their individuality, and see themselves in a whole new light.

✨ It celebrates their growth. These photos become a snapshot of where each dancer is in their journey—something they can look back on for years to come.

✨ It creates lasting memories. Company is about so much more than competitions and performances. These are the moments and experiences our dancers will remember long after the season ends.

✨ It teaches professionalism. Learning how to prepare, pose, take direction, and present yourself professionally are valuable skills that extend far beyond the dance studio.

✨ And honestly… they deserve to feel like STARS. ⭐️

We are SO excited to start sharing more of these incredible images with you! You’re going to be seeing lots more of our SZN 3 Company dancers popping up around here, and trust us…

YOU’RE GOING TO WANT TO SEE THESE. 👀🔥

Get excited. SZN 3 is looking GOOD. 🌿✨

If you've been around Apopka Dance Center for a while, chances are you've seen Miss Jen doing a little bit of EVERYTHING! 😂💗

Our fabulous Apopka Dance Company Director, Miss Jen brings so much knowledge, energy, and passion to ADC.

From Company classes to technique and beyond, she has a way of challenging dancers while making sure they're having FUN along the way!

She's the teacher who can probably answer a question about just about anything dance-related… and somehow always has another class to teach right after! 😉

Miss Jen, we are SO lucky to have you on our faculty! Thank you for pouring into our dancers and helping them become stronger, more confident artists. 🫶

Show Miss Jen some love in the comments! ❤️👇

👀 “Why can't I watch my dancer's class?”

We get this question from parents, especially when they're new to ADC, so let's talk about it!

At Apopka Dance Center, parents do not sit inside our classrooms, and we don't have traditional viewing windows or parent viewing rooms.

Instead, we have viewing TVs that allow parents to check in without physically being inside the classroom.

Why?

Because our priority is creating the best possible learning environment for our dancers. 💗

When parents are in the room, dancers can become distracted. They may look for Mom or Dad, wonder who's watching, become more self-conscious, or have a harder time focusing on their teacher.

And we want their attention right here:

👀 On their teacher
👂 Listening to corrections
🧠 Processing new skills
💪 Trying something challenging
❤️ Having FUN!

It also allows our teachers to teach without having to divide their attention between the dancers and what's happening outside the classroom.

We know it can be hard to let go—especially when you're excited to see what your dancer is learning! But creating that little bit of independence can be incredibly valuable for your dancer.

Trust us to teach. Trust your dancer to learn. And we'll celebrate their progress with you! 🥰
