It’s true! Learning to juggle engages both sides of your brain, boosting hand-eye coordination and focus. After 20+ years of juggling everything from clubs to knives, my brain must be huge (or just really tired!).

After 20+ years and thousands of shows, I’ve seen one mistake that can deflate even the best party: The Energy Gap.

Music's going, the kids are running wild (or the adults are mingling well), and then... the food arrives. Everyone sits, eats, and enters a "food coma." This is the danger zone where people start checking their watches and looking for the exit.

The Fix: Plan a "Bridge" Moment. Don’t wait for the energy to hit zero before starting the main activity. Schedule a big "wow" moment—whether it’s a performer (hi!), a high-stakes game, or a big announcement—for 15 minutes after the food is served. Why it works:

-It gives people a reason to stay in their seats.

-It transitions the group from "passive eaters" back to "active guests."

-It ensures the event ends on a high note rather than a slow fade.

I love performing for Libraries and their Summer Reading events to promote Library attendance! I performed at a library showcase earlier in the year and booked over 40 libraries from it! What library do you go to? Do they put on events? Can you put me in touch with them? 😊🤹‍♂️
