Ive been really bad about posting, so here's a lump post of a lot of our caterpillars who have now been emerging as moths! We've released most of who is in these photos, and we humanely put some to sleep, like the ones in the last 2 photos at the end of the photos with deformities. A second photo dump is to follow. A late update: we have had 3 of our 5 cecropia moths emerge since mid-May! A male, female (who unfortunately never inflated her wings) and another male. We released the last male this past weekend, and hopefully he found a mate and repopulates these beautiful giant silkmoths. Hoping the last 2 are females so we get eggs!

Very excited for my first moth of the season! I raised this beautiful boy from egg, to caterpillar, to cocoon and now he has emerged after approximately 9 months in the cocoon! He is a male cecropia moth! We named him. Art Vandalay lol
