For those who don’t know me, I figured it was finally time to introduce myself! I’m usually the one behind the camera instead of in front of it, but I’m Amanda, the owner of Handmade Studio. 💙
I’ve been a little MIA this summer because I’ve been busy raising our newest (and cutest) team member... our Studio Manager, Ollie. 🧸
But on a more serious note, I just wanted to say thank you. This summer has looked a lot different than most. I’ve been home soaking up every minute with Ollie, so we’ve kept studio hours to Fridays and Saturdays, pressed pause on our adult workshops, and only offered a handful of camps and events.
Even with a quieter summer, so many of you still chose to support our little studio. Whether you came in to paint pottery, signed your kids up for camp, booked a party, shopped with us, or simply shared one of our posts, thank you. Your support gave me the chance to spend these first few months at home with Ollie, and that means more to me than you’ll ever know.
I also have to give the biggest thank you to my mom. ❤️ She has been the one keeping things running while I’ve been home. From helping customers and teaching camps to all the behind-the-scenes things no one sees, she has done it all. I couldn’t have done this summer without her.
Now for the exciting part... we’re getting back to it! 🎉
Our calendar is officially open for private events again, and starting in late August we’ll be bringing back a full lineup of paint parties, workshops, ladies’ nights, kids’ events, and more. I have so many fun ideas I’ve been working on, and I can’t wait to start creating with all of you again. For now, our walk-in hours will stay the same, but you’ll start seeing a lot more events popping up on the calendar. Stay tuned... You may even notice a few other new faces around the studio soon. 😉
The studio might look a little different these days too. You might spot a few baby things here and there, and if you’re lucky, our little manager might be clocked in for the day eager to meet. 🤍
P.S. How cute is his tie-dye onesie? We made it during one of our camps this summer, so I’d say he’s already fitting right into the family business. 💙
