Fascinating
On the outskirts of Chartres in the mid-1900s, self-taught artist Raymond Isidore covered nearly every surface of his small home with glittering mosaics.
Bob Ross, such an inspiration. This is an interesting story of how he got started and where all his paintings are!
Bob Ross painted more than 1,000 landscapes for his television show — so why are they so hard to find? Solving one of the internet’s favorite little mysteries.
Breathtaking! Thank you for sharing Peg Malone

I moved into my new space at Jingletown Art Studios last Saturday!! We have East Bay Open Studios this weekend and the next two. Plus we have Open Studios June 14th from 6-9. There are about 20 off us in shared or private studios. I have two studio mates; one acryllic painter and another fused glass. So happy to have literally fallen into getting this space by coincidence.
So happy to see my "Mandala of Life" at the LAA Art Gallery in Livermore!

CALL FOR ARTISTS:
Paint Historic Livermore Plein Air Competition May 31 & June 1 & 2, 2019
Amateur and Professional artists, locals and from out of town, are invited to bring their paints to the Livermore CA area on May 31 and June 1 & 2 to record their impressions of the town’s historic buildings, wineries, hills and other scenic sites. Judging and awards will be at 3:00 pm Sunday, June 2 at the Carnegie Building, 2155 3rd Street.
Starting point for this event is the Carnegie Park and the Livermore Art Association Gallery at the Carnegie Building, 2155 3rd Street. There, from 11:30 to 4:00 on Friday, May 31 or Saturday June 1 from 7:30 to 11:00 am, artists may register up to four painting surfaces, which will be stamped on the back, for the judging which will take place at the same location on Sunday, June 2 at 3:00 pm. They will then spread around town to paint. The public is invited to view the painting activities; most of the artwork done during this event will be for sale. The artists are free to choose their favorite medium and locations – no restrictions. A sheet of possible locations will be available for those unfamiliar with Livermore.
Merit Awards of $100 will be given along with $25 honorable Mentions, and a special $50 downtown Livermore painting award. One money award per artist. Judge for the event is Chella Gonsalv. (chellaartist.com).
Artists are asked to register by mail by May 24. Fine a registration form on www.LivermoreArtAssociation.org, or contact Diane Rodriguez [email protected]. Fee to enter is $20 for LAA and Pleasanton Art League members, $30 for non-members. As this is a fund raiser, a 30% commission to LAA will be collected on sales. After registration, the artists need only bring their four supports to be stamped along with their painting equipment May 31 or June 1 and start painting!

Living in an apartment of books, this would be my ideal environment.
A new wall mural on the outside of an apartment building in Utrecht in the Netherlands (Holland). The artist asked residents for their favorite book and included those in the mural. I've been told this is on the corner of Mimosastraat and Amsterdamsestraatweg in Utrecht.
How Buddhism Inspired Monet
