I'm Jaz Rogers, a 21-year-old freelance photographer who will shoot you for cash. I fell in love with photography when I took my first lessons in my junior year of high school. At a time when anxiety defined my every way of life, photography became my escape. I could create beauty from the things I see every single day and forget about the ugliness of my rampant mind. During a chunk of my high sch

ool days, digital photo class was my only motivation to get out of bed. The class allowed me to experience a major "a-ha!" moment -- I could see myself shooting and editing my own photos for the rest of my life. My favorite types of photography are animal, landscape, cityscape, and people in nature. Each photo, I believe, can tell a story if only we allow them to inhale. My Canon Rebel and I are more than happy to help you tell yours. :)

P.S. The story behind my business' name isn't too thrilling. I was born in February.

And so starts my week-long B&W photo thingy, but with explanations. Every photo has a story that I believe is worth telling.

This was taken with my first DSLR in 2015, with a telephoto lens. I've been to New York only once and you're darn tootin' I was determined to get some awesome pictures! I believe this is one of my best to date and frankly, I can't believe I took it. I doubt my aptness too often, but live for these moments -- the ones that remind me what I live for, what fills me with purpose. And that's utilizing my ability to capture moments of pure beauty forever. I deeply hope my photography outlives me.
