Happy pride month my friends!

Pride has become a big source of self-expression for me. For so long, at a casual glance, I’ve presented as straight. I’ve been with my husband since high school. And as a teacher in a sort-of conservative town, I didn’t out myself much.
But for the last few years, I’ve worked hard to be as loud about pride as possible. Because at its heart it is a protest. And so if I’ve gotten brave enough to flaunt my pansexuality, I feel it’s important I do, so that those who don’t feel safe know they’re not alone. So that I’m part of the normalization of this very normal way of being.
I’m here if you ever want to talk. I’m here if you have any questions. I’m here for whatever you need. But above all, I’M HERE. I’m here, and I’m a pansexual woman, mother, and wife. And I’m proud of me and you everyday.

It’s been ages since I’ve made a straight up crystal tray, and this one took longer than most. After I first poured it, it suffered from a bad time I had a few weeks ago with an exothermic reaction. My too hot resin touched the back of this winter cool piece, and cured instantly, leaving a big blob that took me ages to get rid of. This spent about a month outside, getting rained on, while I would grind a little bit of blob away every time I worked on other pieces. But it was finally enough, I domed the back and added crystals this week, and it’s instantly a new favorite.

Okay, shop is updated! I’m going to work my butt off getting orders out ASAP. I’m so grateful to all of you for the support. I love these pieces, and honestly, making ornaments is FUN. Like, I want to make them all year. Also, there are some fantastic holiday earrings in there, my krampus earrings sold out quick last time, and so I can’t wait to see what you all chose this time around.
2020 has sucked, there is no denying that. But there is something soothing about an ornament on my beautiful tree commemorating this dumpster fire. 🎄🎄🎄

Too long for a reel, so you all don’t get my face. 🤣 I filmed this meaning for it to be a “come dome resin with me” and it evolved into my safety procedures. If you’ll like to see it whole, I’ll have it in my story and my highlights.
This is really how I work with resin everyday. If you’re looking for a resource on resin safety, I recommend the FB group “Epoxy is not your friend.” Like any group, take some of it with a grain of salt, but there are a ton of practicing resin artists on there who are serious about safety and are willing to help. Including me.
This isn’t meant to be judgmental, I just legitimately had a scare with resin where I gave myself and my mother chronic headaches from being close to the off-gassing in my house. I will give up resin before I bring it back inside. I understand me being able to work outside is a privilege, because I have the space and I live in Northern California with no snow, but finding a safe space is key. ☣️☣️☣️
