A nice night of 8-Ball at Q Club last night. Big thanks to Chris Bruner and Holly Sheets the new Central Virginia APA League Operators. They answered some league-related questions, got a feel for the Club and made fast friends. A nice couple that love pool and want to keep things clipping along smoothly for all of the areas of APA that they manage. Lots of events on the CVA Pool calendar and we will cross paths with them again.....Peace ya'll.

Open Play at Q Club tomorrow from Noon-4pm...ish. Lots of teams and individuals tuning up for Singles Regionals in Maryland next weekend and Tri-Cup in Richmond the weekend after that.

Time for some road trips to show 'em what we can do on the felt!

With 9 tables, we have plenty of room for that action and the usual cast of Saturday characters....

Straight Pool is starting soon, still time to join that group.....talk to me or Scott McKinley---ASAP!

We'll have dogs and sausages, taquitos, nachos and Spanish rice...plus, ice cream sandwiches for the sweet tooth.

See ya!

Cool day and some hot matches at Q Club today as the APA 8-Ball and 9-Ball Finals were held.

In the 8-Ball Final, What it is, Captained by Westley Woolard took down a close shave match over Hit-n-Run, Scott McKinley's team.

In the 9-Ball Final it was The Gamblers, led by Sonny Abbott over Chill Chasers, Kim Davis's team.

Solid season by all 4 teams and some entertaining matches that our Open Play gang enjoyed seeing too!

Winners have advanced to Tri-Cup in early October with a chance to advance to Vegas Cup and hopefully back to Las Vegas....

Special thanks to Tommy Long and Kathy Bryant who provided some delicious chicken and crab dishes that were a big hit.

Another fun Saturday in the books....see you next week for APA League Week 3.

This week, with Peggy's help....is shaping up nice too. On Tuesday, Dave is bringing a Taco Spread and Belinda Abbott will have mini Cheesecakes.

Thursday is BBQ by Christine McKinley with Baked Beans and Cole Slaw from Peggy......with Yvonne baking up some brownies.

Saturday will be APA Playoff Finals and Open Play on any remaining tables. The pool will be intense with 8 and 9 Ball Tri-Cup Berths at stake......Menu To Be Determined......
