Every September we think about (and are reminded via photo memories) how far we’ve come. When we got the keys to what was the Littleton Courier newspaper store room off a little known loading dock on mill street, we saw potential. There was no grand plan or even a fully formed vision for what this space would become. It was all about listening to people, listening to our intuition, experimenting and making changes. Most of all, it’s been a lot of fun! As The Loading Dock heads into its 12th year (4th year as a nonprofit) we are asking for help. The Arts are in a difficult place in NH, funding is increasingly more and more competitive, prevailing trends in live music and arts engagement is dropping, there is no support from the state of NH for the Arts. Please donate, sponsor and attend shows. The first Friday arts open house will be a great way to support what we do. If you can’t be there and want to help you can DM and also donate online, become a member and sponsor an event. We have a lease on the space until September 2028 after that there is no certainty that we will be able to afford any increases or be asked to renew a lease.
