TODAY IS THE DAY!

This Saturday, August 29, we’re celebrating Stage 13’s first anniversary with not one, but two milestone events and we hope you’ll celebrate with us!

From 1:00–3:00 p.m. today, join us for the Grand Opening of the Stage 13 Academy and Sheridan Posey Performance Center "The Posey" at 400 N. Bowman Road. Come explore our new home, meet our students and teaching artists, enjoy complimentary refreshments, register to win some incredible prizes, and get a glimpse of all that’s ahead. The open house is free and open to everyone!
Then, we’ll continue the celebration this evening at the Clinton Presidential Center with UpStage 2026, our one year anniversary gala and fundraiser.

It’s been an extraordinary first year, and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate than surrounded by the students, artists, families, donors, friends, and community who have made it all possible.

We are incredibly honored to welcome Elvie Ellis, a member of the "Hamilton" national tour company, to Stage 13 for a master class tonight!

Elvie is an accomplished professional performer whose career has taken him from regional stages across the country to London and multiple national tours. His credits include the national tour of Waitress, Judas in the North American Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, and his current role as a Principal Standby with the Hamilton Angelica Tour, covering Aaron Burr, King George III, Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, and Hercules Mulligan/James Madison.

What an incredible opportunity for our students to learn from a working professional with such a wealth of experience, talent, and knowledge.

Introducing the 2026–2027 Stage 13 Studio Company!

Our Studio Company, better known as StuCo, gives freshmen and sophomores an intensive training environment where they can dig deeper into their craft and begin developing the skills and discipline of serious performing artists.

Each week, these students will train in dance technique, acting, vocal music, audition preparation, professionalism, and performance skills. But just as important as what they learn will be the opportunity to experiment, stretch beyond their comfort zones, discover new strengths, and build confidence along the way.

StuCo is where foundations are built. It is where emerging artists begin turning potential into technique and enthusiasm into craft, while preparing themselves for the advanced expectations of Stage 13’s PreProfessional Company.

We see a lot of talent in these young artists, and we are excited to see where a year of hard work, exploration, and great training takes them.

We are incredibly excited to welcome this talented group of young artists to another year of learning, growing, creating, and performing together at Stage 13!

To our returning PrePro members, welcome back! We are thrilled to continue the work we started together and cannot wait to see how you challenge yourselves, strengthen your talents, and grow as artists throughout the year.

To our new PrePro members, welcome to the Stage 13 family! We are so excited to get to know you, work alongside you, and watch you discover just how much you are capable of accomplishing.

Stage 13’s PreProfessional Company is designed for dedicated juniors and seniors who are ready to take their training to the next level. This fully scholarshipped program provides advanced training in acting, dance, and vocal performance while helping students prepare for college auditions, develop their repertoire, and experience the expectations of collegiate and professional performing arts programs.

But PrePro is about more than becoming a stronger performer. It is about taking risks, discovering confidence, supporting one another, and growing into the artist and person you are capable of becoming.

We have an incredible year ahead of us, and we cannot wait to get started!

Congratulations to Murry’s Dinner Playhouse and their entire cast and crew on an incredible production of "Footloose."

We are especially proud of former, current, and upcoming Stage 13 PrePro students who shined on stage night after night. You brought tremendous talent, energy, and heart to your roles, and we loved seeing each of you cut loose throughout the run.

A congratulations also goes to our own Director of Education, Bridget Davis, and Stage 13 teaching artists Moriah Connerson and Justin Pike on their wonderful performances. We are fortunate to have such talented working artists sharing their experience, passion, and knowledge with our students every day. Bravo Murry's!
