The art is to showcase the messages of cultural significance, diversity, and unity. Calling all visual artists to add your creativity to the new Blended Lines Art Gallery. The following are the guidelines for the gallery:

1.The Blended Lines Art Gallery is an extension of the Facebook Group – Blended Lines. Therefore, all art being presented must be connected to the stated purpose of Blended Line

2.Only members of Blended Lines may post art in the gallery. The art must be acknowledged as the original work of the member; and if the art was created by another artisan, the member must have written permission to display the art with credit to its creator.

3.The following are the visual arts being accepted:
•Paintings and prints
•Sculpture
•Photography
•Mixed Media
•Embroidery
•Sewing
•Handmade crafts

4. In order to create a family-friendly experience, the gallery will not accept art that is overtly sexual, pornographic, filled with expletive language, culturally-insensitive, nor objectionable to the administrators of the Blended Lines Art Gallery.

5. After ten (10) artists have joined the Blended Lines Gallery, they will be limited to three (3) pieces of visual art at one time.

6. Blended Lines Art Gallery will contact artists when their works are sought for purchase. The member will negotiate an agreed upon price with the potential buyer and will receive all money collected from sales of their work .

7. Artists will notify the Blended Lines Art Gallery if a sale is made so the artwork can be removed from the gallery or listed as sold. Artists can present another work to replace one that is sold, as long as they are not beyond the limit of three (3) pieces per artist. Do not miss this opportunity to show your support of Blended Lines by participating in this continuation of the group!

Thought I’d start off with these three photos...

That first week after George Floyd was murdered, I spent A LOT of time on my front porch...questioning everything, hiding from my kids while I cried, and trying to figure out what I was supposed to do moving forward.

One thing that helped me from crumbling completely was watching and taking photos of the fascinating birds in my front yard.
