“In the quarter century since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, the horror of that day has inspired novels, films, television shows, paintings and sculpture.

But the most enduring artistic response has been an uplifting Canadian musical, “Come From Away,” about a small town with a big airport where nearly 7,000 travelers were diverted amid the chaos and fear.”

“Come From Away,” about a remote Newfoundland community that embraced grounded travelers, is playing all over the world — even in the town where it takes place.

The wait is almost over—Come From Away opens this Friday! ✈️💛

The hit Broadway sensation arrives at Wildwood Park for the Arts this week. Experience the deeply moving, true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that opened its doors to them on 9/11.

Directed by Canadian born Bevan Keating, who has worked directly with the people of Gander, this authentic production runs in the Cabe Festival Theater from September 11–20, 2026, reminding us that kindness prevails. Seats are filling fast—secure your tickets at www.wildwoodpark.org!

🪑 WHO KNEW CHAIRS COULD DO ALL THAT?! 🪑

In Come From Away, the chairs aren’t just chairs. They become part of the story.

From creating the illusion of airplanes and buses to transforming the stage in seconds, “chair-ography” is one of the most ingenious pieces of movement in the show—and it takes incredible precision from the cast.

🎭 Watch our video to see how it works, why it matters, and just how much thought goes into making those seemingly simple movements look effortless.

Come see the magic of Come From Away live!

In recognition of the 25th anniversary of September 11, Wildwood Park for the Arts invites our community to gather for Standing Together: A 9/11 Tribute.

This outdoor commemorative event offers a solemn space to honor, remember, and reflect together.

Connect with local leaders and state dignitaries over an outdoor luncheon catered by YaYa's Euro Bistro. The formal program will feature a color guard presentation, a live performance of the national anthem, and remarks from guest speakers:

Rex Nelson (Policy and communications director for Gov. Mike Huckabee on 9/11)
Craig O'Neill (THV11 news anchor who covered the evening broadcasts)
Sharon Priest (Arkansas Secretary of State during 9/11)

Gates open at 11:00 AM. We truly hope you will join us for this meaningful afternoon of shared remembrance and unity.
