Since graduating last year, Kelly Singer has gone from singing in all three UA Little Rock choirs to the bright lights of New York City and graduate school at the prestigious Manhattan School of Music. Tonight she returns Little Rock to present a Christmas benefit concert at 7 p.m. at Second Presbyterian Church in collaboration with violinist Andrew Irvin and pianist Julie Cheek. The public is welcome and admission is free!

From Dr. Keating:

This coming Monday, December 18th, at 7:00 pm UA Little Rock Community Chorus and Concert Choir Alumna, Kelly Singer returns to Little Rock for a special Christmas concert hosted by Second Presbyterian Church. We would love to see you there! Kelly will be performing with her dear friends, A*O violinist Andrew Irvin and internationally renowned pianist Julie Cheek.

There is no entrance fee for this concert, but there will be an opportunity for audience members to donate towards the evening. These donations will be put toward the Ms. Singer’s next semester of graduate school at the Manhattan School of Music in New York. As many of you know, the true cost of living in NYC, auditioning, and attending graduate school is far more than the level of scholarship support offered by a small arts institution. It is our hope that we can help support Kelly as she continues developing the artistry and career that, in many ways, started and was nurtured by the UA Little Rock Concert and Community Choruses.

I hope you will join Kelly and friends for an evening of beautiful Christmas music and support one of our “very own” as Ms. Singer follows in the footsteps of other UA Little Rock musicians and artists. We are so lucky to have the opportunity to foster artists that not only go on to become incredible, professional performers the world over, but always come home to us to share those gifts in return.

All my best,

Dr. Bevan Keating
