Cinema I/O and CALS Ron Robinson presents a FREE screening and open discussion of “Mikey & Nicky” on Tuesday, September 15th @ 7pm. 

Two lifelong friends. One dangerous night. And a past that refuses to stay buried.

Directed by Elaine May and starring Peter Falk and John Cassavetes, Mikey and Nicky is a gritty, emotionally charged crime drama about friendship, betrayal, loyalty, and desperation. The film follows two old friends whose complicated history comes crashing into the present over the course of one increasingly tense night.

Celebrate the film’s 50th anniversary with a special screening presented with Cinema I/O, followed by a discussion exploring the film, its performances, and its enduring place in American cinema.

Admission: FREE
Film Start Time: Doors open at 6:00pm, and the film will begin promptly at 7:00pm.

As our films are general admission seating, please be sure to arrive early to secure your seat. Beer, wine, and concessions will be available.

Cinema I/O is proud to once again participate in Art House Theater Day, a program organized annually by Art House Convergence.
From Art House Convergence:
“Art House Theater Day (AHTD) is an annual program of AHC that brings audiences together to celebrate all that art house theaters - and independent film - contribute to our cultural landscape: ambitious and innovative art that provokes, challenges, entertains, and inspires.”

This year’s ambassador for the program is Boots Riley ( I’m a Virgo, I Love Boosters) and he’s leant his feature debut Sorry to Bother You to a program that includes a diverse slate of films including Car Wash, Orfeo, and Once Upon a Time in Cinema.
We at Cinema I/O selected two films from the slate of films; Sorry to Bother You and Network beginning Wednesday July 29th!
