Hello all!! I see we've had several newcomers to our page since my last post. WELCOME all of you. Just a short note today, and it's about our summer leagues this year.
We started our Tue night no-tap league last week and, at this point, we have 11 teams. That's one more than last year, but it also leaves a spot open for another to join. So, we would need 4 bowlers to make that last team. It's only $10 per week, we start practice at 1750 and first ball for score goes at 1800. There is no prize money and no handicap. It's just a bunch of like-minded people bowling and making friends. We do keep the standings for the league, but it's all for bragging rights.
The other league is a Learn to Bowl (better) league and is designed for folks with an average under 150. At this point it's going to be on Wed evenings and starts the first week in June (we have a movie special all month on Wed night). Since we did not get enough to start the Thu night league, we have the option to bowl this league on Thu instead of Wed. The meeting for the Bowl Better league is the last Wed of May at 1800. We have plenty of openings and you are highly encouraged to attend this meeting, especially if you want to help decide when to bowl. This league will have formal instruction from 1645 to 1745, and the league itself will start at 1800. Since all the practice beforehand you will only bowl 2 games instead of 3. The cost is only $10 per night.
