Senior Sunday Post: I’m Courtney and next year I’m going to PennState University park to study Biological Engineering.I am in the Top 5% of my class academically and have been for all 4 years of high school. I am in the National Honors Society, Mathematics Honors Society, and Latin Honors Society. Throughout high school I have been involved with Chamber Singers, the spring musical, interact club, book club and before school swimming. In my junior year I was able to participate in York County choir as well as PMEA District 7 choir. This last year I joined the color guard. I am a peer tutor of math and science, and I help collect recycling from the school. My favorite choir memory is singing the “Dreams that Remain” in chamber singers of my sophomore year. I joined choir in third grade and continued with it until now. About 10 years.

Senior Sunday Post: Hi, I’m Daonna and I am committed to Manhattan University and I will be studying psychology. Some of my accomplishments include taking part in Cinderella! One of my favorite choir memories was when I met my friends Bella and Lidia and how welcoming they were to me. I have participated in Concert choir and Cinderella. I wanted to include lll and llm into my post in remembrance of two people I lost, because they are the reason why I changed.

Senior Sunday Post: Hi, I’m Brezlyn and I plan to study English with a minor in Music at York College of Pennsylvania while working at Wellspan York Hospital. I am proud of my commitment to theater arts for all 4 years of high school. I am particularly excited to continue performing arts in college with a scholarship of $50,000. My favorite choir memory was talking to my best friend, Sarah Luce, before class began. Without her support and assistance, I would not be half of the singer I am today. I have been in choir for the past year. I have performed in musicals and plays for all four years, totaling 11 productions.

Hi, I’m Grayson Barshinger and in the fall, I will be attending Penn State University at University Park. I will be studying Advertising and Public Relations. I am very excited to start a new chapter at PSU, and I’m grateful for all of the additional opportunities I will get by going to school there. I might continue my passion for music and singing, but I’m not sure yet. Throughout my schooling, I have participated in many things on top of being on the Distinguished Honor Roll for 24 quarters in a row! Through high school, I have participated in softball, cheerleading, choir, MiniTHON, chamber singers, Nation Honors Society, Homecoming Court, the fall play, the spring musical, Acting 1 and 2, etc. Although it was difficult at times, I really enjoyed being able to participate in so many activities— sometimes all at once. My favorite choir memory was probably two years ago when we sang the Dreams That Remain in a choir festival with others in a church. The church was a great place to perform this piece as it echoed through the building. I was very proud of this piece and I still watch the recording of it every now and then to this day. I have been in choir since 4th grade. During my time in CYPA, I have done choir for all four years, Chamber Singers for three, been in Acting 1 and 2 plays, a lead (Yvette) in CLUE, a swing (Jane Seymour and Katherine Parr) in SIX: The Musical, and a lead (Charlotte) in our spring musical Cinderella. I absolutely love to sing, and I couldn’t be happier to be singing in choir one last time this Spring with some of my favorite people!

Hi, I’m Ryan Chen and I am going to study Data Science and Music Performance at Penn State University! Some of my accomplishments I am most proud of are qualifying for District Jazz twice and being a Schoolhouse.world Coach. One of my favorite choir memories is playing on the piano with the choir singing behind me. I have been in choir for the past 3 years. Some of my involvement with the Central York Choirs and CYPA include being the Vice President of Choir, an accompanist, being in Chamber Singers for 2 years, and being in the Marching Band/Jazz Lab for 4 years.

Hi, I’m Jacob Szepesi and I will be attending Thaddeus Stevens School of technology for their cabinetry program. I have done 4 years of marching band, 2 years of tech for the musical, and I’ve been doing band and choir since 4th and 5th grade. My favorite choir memory is going to Flinchbaughs and singing with Raise Your Voice. I have been doing choir for about 7 years. Senior Sunday Post: Hi, I’m Kylie Knickman, I plan on attending York College to study Criminal Justice and Criminology and I plan on being a Game Warden. I have been hunting since I was 4 and I also do horseback and I do showing! I absolutely love horseback because it brings me so much joy to be around horses and get the opportunity to earn awards! I also love going hunting and getting to experience the outdoors with my dad and have met so many people in the hunting world. My favorite choir memory would be freshman year when we did a Hamilton song! I have been in choir for 3 years. I absolutely love choir and love all the people I got to meet along the way!
